Dematting

Mats happen! Dematting priced per minute. We will call for approval if your dog needs over $10 in de- matting.


We will de-mat only what is tolerable to the
dog. If mats are too extensive, we will need to shave for your dog's health and comfort.

Extra TLC/Special Handling Fees

Extra TLC/Special Handling fees help cover the cost of labor for the additional time it takes to groom challenging pups. We try to keep these fees as low as possible. Generally about 3-5% of the dogs we groom require these fees. These fees are added each time based on the behavior that day so they may change each visit.

You can help make grooming less scary for your dog by brushing them on a regular basis, rubbing a battery operated toothbrush over them to simulate the clippers and touching their feet and face often. Some dogs may never warm up to grooming in which case we work with them as best as we can.

Dogs that are older or overweight may want to sit or lie down repeatedly, hindering grooming. Older dogs may be more reactive as their senses fail and they don't understand what is happening. Just like people, older dogs can get cranky and not like to be touched.
Dogs that are a danger to groom due to age or behavior will be referred to a vet so they have medical staff available in the case of an emergency.

Due to age or behavior, some dogs require additional time and attention for their groom.
