Dog Bath Service in Plano That Gets Past Surface Dirt
At Lakeside Pet Spa, we handle dog baths the way the Plano climate demands: with the right products for the season, the same groomer every time so your dog's coat gets known instead of guessed at, and no cages during the wait or after the wash.
Your dog gets dirtier in Texas heat. The dust and humidity don't just sit on the coat; they work into the undercoat, where a quick rinse at home won't reach. A dog bath that matters cleans deeper, protects the skin underneath, and leaves the coat conditioned instead of stripped.
What a Full Dog Bath at Lakeside Actually Includes
When you bring your dog in for a bath appointment, here's what happens:
The Wash. We start with a warm-water bath using a shampoo tailored to your dog's coat type. If your dog has dry skin or allergies, we have hypoallergenic and oatmeal-based options. For dogs shedding heavily in the Plano heat, we use a deep-cleaning wash that pulls loose undercoat without damaging the topcoat.
Ear Cleaning. Plano's humidity makes ear issues common, especially in dogs with floppy ears or a thick coat around the ear canal. We clean the ears thoroughly during every bath to stop wax buildup and infections before they start.
Conditioning. After the wash, we condition it to lock moisture back in, rather than leaving the coat dry and brittle. Short-haired dogs get a light conditioner. Double-coated breeds and long-haired dogs get a heavier conditioning treatment.
The Dry and Brush. We hand-dry and fully brush out your dog's coat. This step removes loose hair before it ends up on your couch and keeps mats from forming between baths.
Nail Trim. Every bath includes a nail trim. We file or clip, depending on your preference, and we keep the work clean so your dog doesn't have sharp edges or overgrown nails that affect their gait.
This is the "Bath and Brush" package on our menu. It's the standard we recommend for most dogs.
